With real-time geologic parameters obtained through ZT-LWD, field engineer is able to monitor stratigraphic fluctuation at all times, and have an accurate expectation about what stratigraphic fluctuation will be like. When used for logging of high angle deviated wells and horizontal wells, geosteering is achieved by optimizing a well trajectory to penetrate the favorable oil-producing layers. This technology can considerably increase single-well production and recovery ratio.
ZT-LWD can incorporate rotary steering tool whenever necessary.
